Board moves forward with Jr. High Softball and Baseball

The Keota Board of Education recently made the decision to move forward and join the other schools in the SICL conference for Jr. High baseball and softball beginning this May.

High School Principal Mr. Henrich recommended that the boys play on the city field while the girls play at the school field, and Athletic Director Rod Hill approached the ball board and city with the idea, who have agreed.

“The baseball field at the school is simply too large to play Jr. High ball on, but the city field would provide a great playing space,” Hill had said in a previous meeting when discussing the opportunity of joining SICL.
